CELTIC, Northwest Gaul. Carnutes. Vandiilos, circa 50-30 BC. AE (Bronze, 16 mm, 4.11 g, 1 h). Celticized draped female bust to left. Rev. VANDIILOS Eagle standing facing, wings spread and head to left; below his right wing, another, smaller eagle in similar posture. DT 2586. LT 7988-7981. A beautiful piece with a splendid green patina. Extremely fine.
